IP SECURE

Independently of the medium, KNX IP Secure encrypts and authenticates all telegrams at the network level. The data transmitted are completely secure. Thus the communication between sensor and actuator in the IP network cannot be interpreted or manipulated. KNX IP Secure is the first manufacturer-independent security solution that is recognized as an international security standard in accordance with the EN ISO 22510 standard.

DATA SECURE

KNX Data Secure also encrypts the data on the bus line (twisted pair) or via wireless communication (RF). KNX Secure reliably prevents attack scenarios such as recording, replay attack, or man-in-the-middle attack.

Commissioning KNX Secure:

Professional installers need the device certificates of the individual KNX Secure components to make a KNX installation secure. They must be integrated into ETS and are therefore printed directly onto the JUNG devices as QR codes. Time-intensive and error-prone typing of the device certificates is unnecessary with the help of the JUNG Secure apps.

1. SCAN IN CERTIFICATES

The printed KNX certificates are scanned in before the installation. This is done with the JUNG KNX Secure Scanner smartphone app.

2. INSTALL KNX COMPONENTS

As soon as the certificates have been scanned in for all devices, the installation of the components in the object is carried out.

3. IMPORT CERTIFICATES

With the help of the JUNG Secure Key Loader ETS app, the previously scanned KNX certificates are conveniently imported using a certificate list.

4. UPDATE KNX COMPONENTS OPTIONALLY

All JUNG twisted-pair KNX devices can be conveniently updated with the JUNG ETS Service app.

JUNG KNX Secure Scanner

With the new smartphone app, JUNG closes the trade interface between installer, distribution engineer and system integrator: installers simply scan in the QR codes and the secure keys appear in the app as a list view. With the JUNG KNX Secure Scanner smartphone app, if required they produce an encrypted certificate list or extract a suitable, password-protected PDF document for their records. The JUNG Secure Scanner smartphone app is available free of charge in the appropriate app stores.

JUNG KNX Secure Key Loader

The exported certificate list can simply be transferred to ETS with the JUNG KNX Secure Key Loader ETS app and thus integrated into the project. Multiple certificate lists can be combined in the project so that, for example, the project planning can be implemented parallel to the project progress. This extension is available via the KNX Association app shop (my.knx.org) and is bound to the ETS dongle. The app is available from week 36/2020.

With the new ETS Service app, KNX devices can be conveniently maintained. The extension makes it possible to install new firmware in the components. Furthermore, old firmware versions can be transferred to existing devices (e.g. where a device is replaced).

Efficient support at a distance

Simple system maintenance without cost-intensive journeys: with IPS-Remote, programming and maintenance of KNX components becomes even more efficient.

The requirements for remote maintenance with IPS-Remote are clear: the ETS app IPS-Remote, the IP interface IPS 300 SREG, and the remote maintenance license IPS-L bound to this interface. End customers acquire these via their MyJUNG access. Once set up and released by the customer, system integrators can commission the KNX components as usual via ETS5 using the IPS-Remote interface. Granting access by the customer can be done conveniently via the visualization (e.g. via Smart Visu Server) or via connection to a push-button sensor. In this way, the control always remains with the customer. System integrators can already switch actuators, configure wall transmitters, and much more. Remote maintenance is limited exclusively to the KNX line and its integrated components.
